I led a one-week-long workshop on the Suzuki Method of Actor Training and Viewpoints Technique supported by the Studium Prospero Association and Artecotur Association. Thanks very much to the incredible team for the intense work, shared research, and the precious time we spent together. Please find the photos of the workshop at the GALLERY.

With a bit of delay, but I would like to express my gratefulness for organizing these new and deeply human experiences of working with the high school students of Lovassy Theatre in Veszprém and Harsányi Drama Studio in Budapest. It was a thoroughly engaging, overwhelming, and super exciting experience teaching the Suzuki Method for the uprising generation.

Our performance with the ISCOT (International Suzuki Company of Toga), the Blue Bird will be performed at the 9th Theatre Olympics Festival in Kurobe, Japan on the 6th and 8th of September. Can’t wait to be there.

This was the first year when Belgrade International Workshop + Chekhov Fest was organized. The program of the event was focused on the art and acting technique of Michael Chekhov, the well-known Russian actor, and acting teacher. The main organizer of the festival, Mara Radulović had selected colorful events for the week and organized an extremely high-quality professional forum to Belgrade, Serbia. During the one week long workshop the participants had a chance to gain an insight into the fundamental elements of the Chekhov Technique. The teaching ensemble had been gathered from all around the world: Gretchen Egolf (U.K./U.S.), Andrew Hawkins (U.K.), Elena Kuzina (Russia), Suzana Nikolić (Croatia), Mara Radulović (Serbia/U.K.), Gianluca Reggiani (Italy), Peter Tedeschi (U.S.), Anne Towns (U.S.). The organizers had established an annual award which had been presented to Joanna Merlin, who deserves great credit for helping to spread Michael Chekhov’s work around the world. The participants were able to join different programs besides the workshops like watching performances and short-films and or gathering for professional discussions. Thanks very much to the organizers for offering me an intern position, to the teachers for the wonderful courses and to the colleagues for having a great time, work and fun together.

 

It is a true honor and I’m really happy to announce that the University of Babes-Bolyai at Cluj-Napoca, Romania offered me a teaching assistant post in the second semester of the 2018-2019 school year. The Suzuki Method of Actor Training will be the basis of my work, but I’ll also use other methodological elements to serve the progress of the students in the most efficient way. I’ll work with the 1st and 3rd-year students from the acting department.

Invited by Blanka Macaveiu I led a 4 days-long training workshop for the Navarra Dance Company cooperating with the András Lóránt Company at the beginning of February in Tîrgu-Mureș, Romania. Considering they are working on a new project – named Farida – I focused on finding exercises which aim both to increase the artistic expressivity and develop high-level readiness of the performers and to help them to deeply connect with their characters as well. Thank you for the wonderful and committed ensemble and I wish them deep artistic research and fully successful performance as a result. HERE you can find the photos and a promo video of our work.
